Multiple GlobalDomain Documents

I am assuming that you are using a single GlobalDomain Doc and have the Local Primary Internet Domain set to something like Primary.com.
You also have a.com, b.com, c.com listed as alternale internet domains.

So mail comes in addressed to "joe.user@a.com". Because you have "a.com" listed as an alternate internet domain the Server will accept the mail and move it to the mail.box.

The Router will look at the address and try to find an exact match for the internet address in the $Users View in the address book. If an exact match is found then the router will deliver the message to the mail database of the user that matches the address.

If no match is found for joe.user@a.com and Address Lookup in the server config document is set to "Full Name then Local Part" the router will drop the @Domain part of the address and do another search for the first part of the address (joe.user) and may find a match for a user that was not intended to receive the message.

If Name Lookup is set to "Full Name Only" then the router will not drop the @Domain part of the address and search for the Local Part of the address and normally will send back to the sender a message that the user is not found in the address book.

This behavior changes when you have Alternate Internet Domains listed in the GlobalDomain Document.

If there is an alternate internet Domain listed such a (a.com) and mail comes in addressed to joe.user@a.com the router will first try to find an exact match for joe.user@a.com. If no match is found then the router will drop the alternate internet doman (a.com)and append the Local Primary Internet Domain (primary.com) to
the address (joe.user@primary.com) and do another search of the &Users View in the adress book.

The solution is to create separate Global domain documents for each alternet internet domain.
